The country of Blevio consists of seven villages, mostly climbing on steep slopes of the mountains behind.
From almost all the houses of the village you have a wide and beautiful sight that made Blevio the selected site, in the past, for the construction of luxury villas, including one that is famous because in the nineteenth century belonged to the famous singer Giuditta Pasta, where agreed poets, writers and artists. Among the many people to remember, Vincenzo Bellini, who, inspired by the breathtaking scenery of Lake Como, wrote here a few pages of "La Sonnambula."
Among the fampus villas there is Villa Troubetzkoy: Russian Prince Troubetzkoy, after being sentenced to hard labor for attempted uprising against the Tsar Nicholas I, fled to Blevio, where he built the villa in 1850.
From the hamlet of Sorto, with a walk of about an hour you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake and see some huge boulders, among which the famous Stone Nairola.
