Gravedona is located in a stunning position and has a charming old town, with its narrow alleys, steep and endless stairways, with houses huddled together with portals and ancient facades. Because of historical, artistic and religious reasons it is considered the most important town in Upper Lake
Gravedona is a town that is told in its churches and monuments: the beautiful church of Santa Maria del Tiglio, an important example of Romanesque architecture, the nearby church of San Vincenzo, near the lakeside, and the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, also called the Convento, contain valuable art treasures that bear witness to the confluence of different cultures in the Upper Lake. In Gravedona there is also the mighty Palazzo Gallio, from whose gardens you can enjoy a beautiful view over the country and on lake.
Also, there are areas for accommodation and sports such as the beach and the lido with two swimming pools, a sports center with tennis courts and football fields, the beautiful lakeside promenade leading to the nearby village of Dongo.
From Gravedona then start numerous routes that allow you to discover the villages in the mountains, among paths in the woods and relaxing valleys.
