 Malcesine

It is often regarded as the most beautiful center of Lake Garda, with the castle hoisted on a promontory which slopes down into the lake. Malcesine, in fact, has a special charm.
The castle has very ancient origins: reconstructed by the Scala family between 1277 and 1387, was changed by Venetian and Austrian armies. It houses a museum about the history and environment of the lake; from the top of his tower one can enjoy a magnificent panorama.
To pass in a few minutes from the olives to the highest peaks of Mount Baldo and enjoy the majestic scenery of the lake is a unique experience. It can prove through the Cable Malcesine-Monte Baldo, where there are infinite possibilities for excursions. On Mount Baldo every season has an irresistible charm and offers a constant invitation to experience the mountain in all its various and unpredictable aspects. The climatic influence of the lake and the altitude allow the coexistence of many different natural environments, from the Mediterranean up to the meadows on the rocks of the highest peaks: for this peculiarity Monte Baldo has earned the title of Garden of Europe, true link of the Alps to the Mediterranean.
