The town of Omegna is located at the northern end of Lake Orta and surrounded by the enchanting mountains reflected on calm, clear waters of the lake.
Among the most significant monuments of Omegna, the church of Sant'Ambrogio, Romanesque building with a Baroque interior where there is the urn with the body of the martyr San Vito, patron saint of Omega. The last two Sundays of August there is the popular festival in honor of the saint, which attracts people from throughout the region: the main attraction is the fireworks on the lake. In honor of the writer Gianni Rodari, who was a native of this city, the town of Omegna created a park that offers children different experiences, different ways to play and have fun.
