Lake Garda is the most Mediterranean of the Italian Alpine lakes: it is located in a majestic spectacle of natural light and colors that make it, in every season, an absolutely unique vacation place. Its shores, studded with hamlets and towns, add to the charm of the natural landscape the suggestion of ancient remains of Roman settlements, medieval castles, majestic palaces, villas.
The northern part of the lake is mountainous, the southern one is in plain, this peculiarity offers plenty of different landscapes on the shores of Lake Garda ... and then, in the lake there are five islands: the largest is the Isle of Garda.
