Torri means towers: the town takes its name from two towers which, together with the regular planting of the village are evidence of its Roman origins as castrium turrium. In addition to the marina and the view you can not miss a visit to the Castle Scaligero: built between 1383 and 1893 it stored discreetly inside an ethnographic museum about the culture on the Upper Garda and a beautiful greenhouse for the citrus dated 1760.
Art lovers can appreciate the XV century frescoes decorating the interior of the church of the Holy Trinity. Equally valuable frescoes in the loggia of the sixteenth century Ca 'Turrini, in the square of the port, and Palazzo Mari. Small, but very characteristic of the lifestyle of the lake, Torri del Benaco is the destination many tourists, today as a century ago.
