Pisogne is the northernmost town of the eastern seashore of Lake Iseo; it is a big town, consisting of different hamlets. Pisogne represents the latest offshoot of the Val Camonica and the first town of lake Iseo: This area, between the lake and mountains, offers beautiful views and interesting ideas.
In the historical center, on the main square, overlooking the noble palaces, which are juxtaposed with narrow alleys and ancient arcades. The symbol of Pisogne is the Torre del Vescovo (tower of the bishop): it is 32 meters high, it was built in 1250, and is visible from throughout the northern area of Lake Iseo. Among the churches that are worth a visit, we remind Santa Maria Assunta, one of the largest churches in the area, the beautiful Santa Maria della Neve, who keeps inside famous frescoes by the painter Romanino, and Santa Maria in Silvis.
