Griante lies on a broad plateau opposite the peninsula of Bellagio, just where the Lario reaches its maximum amplitude.
The town has different hamlets, the most famous of which is Cadenabbia, which lies on the shore of the lake. The town of Griante has always been considered an excellent tourist destination, just think that the first hotel was built in 1800 and over the years stayed in this locality distinguished visitors, among which we mention the German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, who spent different periods of holiday at Villa La Collina, beautiful, surrounded by a large park terrace, offers a wonderful view. Another witness to the presence of many tourists is the Anglican church located next to the pier: for a long time Cadenabbia was one of the favorite places by the British people and in 1891 this church was built for them, in pseudo-Gothic style.
